Critical Acclaim is a bay few-spot/snow-cap colt who is going to be at least 15.1 to 15.2 hands at maturity. He was not shown as a weanling but could definitely have done well as he has good muscling and is put together right...we just had too many others to show. We are planning on getting him out this year in both longe-line and halter if all goes well. He is a superb mover...very slow-legged...and he doesn't want to rush at doing anything. He comes from a long line of winning siblings -

  • Artistic Acclaim: (multiple longe-line futurity winner/Top 5 World Limited Western and Hunter Under Saddle/Top 10 World Hunter In Hand Geldings/multiple ApHC Non-Pro and Open Award winner/so far at 2004 Youth World Show Reserve World Champion Novice 18 and Under Western Showmanship, 3rd place Novice Youth 18 and Under Hunter Under Saddle, 9th place 16-18 Youth Hunter Under Saddle);
  • Legitimate Claim: (multiple longe-line futurity winner/4th place World Non-Pro Longe-Line/Yearling receiving the highest bid at the 2000 Select Yearling Sale at the World Show...$10,000...no-saled and sold privately for close to $20,000);
  • The Artist: (multiple longe-line futurity winner).

(Legitimate Claim and The Artist have not been shown since their yearling years, but are just as talanted as Artistic Acclaim and could easily go as far as he has gone if their owners wanted to take them there.)
All three of Critical Acclaim's brothers have points in halter including Grand and Reserve Grand Championships.

I consider "B.G." (Critical Acclaim) to be a better mover than his brother Artistic Acclaim in regards to Western as he is more compact and more naturally collected. I am not sure how he will do in English, but no one ever thought Artistic Acclaim would go English, either, but he has done exceptionally well.

As a stallion prospect he will, of course, produce 100% color. Because his dam is chestnut and his sire is bay 50% of his foals will receive a chestnut gene and 50% of his foals will receive a bay/black gene from him. He is very quiet to be around and has never acted like a stallion around people, although he is showing an interest in the girls two paddocks over! $7500
